David W. Johnson is a combat-tested leader and veteran of the United States Army with over 30 years of distinguished service. He enlisted in 1988 and served in multiple combat operations, including Operation Desert Shield, Operation Desert Storm, and successive phases of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Throughout his military career, David served in elite and mission-critical roles, including the parachute infantry and as a Medical Service (Health Service Support) Officer. His experience spans domestic and international operations, including joint, interagency, and multinational (NATO) missions, as well as national defense and cooperative security engagements worldwide. He also served as a military delegate and liaison, providing strategic coordination and operational support across diverse global environments.

Following his retirement as a Major, David founded The Pathfinder Solutions Group, LLC in 2019 — bringing his decades of leadership, operational expertise, and commitment to service into the private sector. Under his leadership, Pathfinder delivers integrated solutions in readiness, preparedness, and response across public safety, government, and critical infrastructure sectors.

As a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Pathfinder holds a CAGE code of 8FTF6 and is actively positioned for federal and state government contracting alongside its commercial and community client base.

Enlisted — United States Army
Began a career of service spanning over three decades, starting in the parachute infantry.
1990 – 1991
Operation Desert Shield & Desert Storm
Deployed to the Persian Gulf in support of coalition combat operations.
Commission
Commissioned as Second Lieutenant
Received commission through Army ROTC at Pacific Lutheran University following completion of B.A. at Saint Martin’s University.
2001+
Operation Enduring Freedom & Iraqi Freedom
Served in successive phases of post-9/11 combat operations, including joint, interagency, and multinational (NATO) missions worldwide.
Retirement
Retired as Major, U.S. Army
Concluded a distinguished military career as a Medical Service (Health Service Support) Officer with worldwide operational experience and an MBA from Texas State University.
